Thomas Lopez is a principal mechanical design engineer and lab, shop, and CAD design manager with 14 years of experience in the medical device industry with Boston Scientific. His medical design experience ranges from active implantable devices for the stimulation of the nervous system to surgical instruments and handheld and body worn electronic devices. Prior to his current employment he developed high and low voltage and fiber optic cable assemblies for aerospace applications and hydraulic and control systems for the swimming pool industry. Thomas graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering and holds inventor credit for multiple patents across all the industries of his employment.
