Winthrop “Win” Thurlow is the Executive Director of MedTech, a non-profit trade association representing New York’s bioscience and medical technology industry. He joined MedTech in July 2017.
For nearly 30 years, Thurlow has been engaged as a leader and consultant in the private and public sectors. He is a former New York Assistant Attorney General-in-Charge and has worked as a lawyer in private practice and as a prosecutor, a regulator and an administrator, including serving as Counsel and Vice President for University Compliance and Ethics at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York where he oversaw institutional compliance, scientific and research misconduct, commercialization and technology transfer.
Thurlow has served in leadership roles at various not-for-profit agencies and is a frequent lecturer on organizational ethics, internal controls and enterprise risk management. He is also an adjunct professor in Syracuse University’s College of Engineering and Computer Science.
Thurlow holds a bachelor’s degree from Union College and a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
